In 1993, after graduating from film school I landed a job on the PBS Kids show, “Bill Nye The Science Guy” which was being produced locally. For the “Plants” episode I was tasked with growing a grass covered car. I managed to convince the director of the show to allow me to shoot a fake commercial I’d written involving the “Grassillac”. I had extra time on the day of the shoot, so we shot the second spot. Both aired during the episode.
